Hurray! Little Dutch hands a record donation to the Friends of Sophia Foundation!

Since 2019, Little Dutch has been a proud ambassador of the Friends of Sophia Foundation.
The sale of the Sophia doll, specifically designed for this foundation, is an integral part of the ambassadorship. Part of the proceeds of these sales is donated to the Friends of Sophia Foundation.

In 2021, Little Dutch once more launched various campaigns to promote sales of the Sophia plushie doll. They were a great success! This year, our efforts resulted in a record donation of no less than € 79,608.36!

On 7 April 2022, we proudly handed this donation to the Friends of Sophia in the Sophia Children's Hospital. Founder Rinke van der Helm says: “I am proud that we were once more able to contribute to a more pleasant stay for the children and their parents in the children's hospital. We feel very involved with the Mother and Child Centre in particular, which is where our donation will go this year as well.” 
Besides that we are gladly to inform that with part of the given amount the plaster room of the Sophia Children Hospital will be decorated to create a child friendly environment.   

Little Dutch x Sophia 
Since 2019, the Little Dutch brand has been a proud ambassador of the Friends of the Sophia Foundation. The idea soon arose to fulfill the long-cherished wish to bring mascot ‘Sophietje’ into the world in the form of a cuddly doll. The red-haired girl in dotted pajamas, accompanied by her little friend, the monkey, was launched in January 2020. She immediately stole the hearts of a lot of children and their parents. For every doll sold in the Netherlands, and many other European countries, a donation is made to the Friends of the Sophia Foundation.  

About Friends of the Sophia Foundation  
The Erasmus MC-Sophia Children's Hospital stands for the best care for every child. That is what the Friends of the Sophia Foundation contributes to. They provide financial support for important matters that are not directly related to medical care. These are often extras that make the stay of the children and their parents in the children's hospital more pleasant. In addition, the foundation offers assistance to scientific research into causes of diseases and new treatment methods. In this way they ensure that children have a better chance in life.
