Dried flowers soap bar
Wednesday, May 5, 2021
In the Netherlands we celebrate Mother’s Day on the 9th of May. The perfect moment to make her a nice smelling present! This soap bar is super easy to make with only a few items needed! It smells delicious and is also nice as decoration in your bathroom or kitchen. Success guaranteed!
What you need:
- Silicone soap mold
- Wax
- Dried Flowers (rose blossom, lavender blossom, marigold, rose buds)
- Essential oils
- Nice ribbon
- Straw
- Wax colours (addition)
This is how you make it:
- Melt the soap in the microwave or in a pan (au bain-marie)
- Add a few drops of essential oil to the melted soap
- Extra: Add colorant to the melted soap (we have not chosen to do this)
- Mix some dried blossom with the melted soap
- Pour the soap into the mold
- Gently press some extra dried flowers into the soap mold
- Push the straw into the mold when the soap is forming but is still soft enough
- Push the soap bars out of the mold when they are cold enough
- Pull the ribbon through the hole and your soap bar is finished!
- Wrap the soap nicely :)
